The Council of Europe has announced the dates for its traineeship periods for 2012. There are three sessions per year, each lasting 3 months, and are available to candidates from any of the organisation’s 47 member countries. The majority of posts are based in the Council’s headquarters in Strasbourg and candidates can choose from a long list of Directorate-Generals and departments. Unfortunately the traineeships are not paid and competition is fierce, but graduates with a good knowledge of French and English and a strong interest in European affairs may nevertheless be tempted to apply via the link below:
