Jane is one of those slightly rare specimens - a Brit with a passion for learning foreign languages ! She did her BA in French, German and Italian at Durham University and would now like to learn Portuguese and Swedish, amongst others ! She has always been a fan of the European Union, as a means of promoting cooperation between the member states and creating links between their inhabitants.


"My european dream is a truly united Europe in which citizens can feel as much at home in one of the other states as they do in their own, where diverse cultures and traditions coexist peacefully; a Europe that is a major player on the world stage, working to address problems such as terrorism, climate change and poverty, that affect not only Europeans but people all over the globe. "
